Early Civil War Pickup CS Cavalry Sabre Wooden Grip Remains Of Tarred Canvas!!

Early Civil War Pickup CS Cavalry Sabre Wooden Grip Remains Of Tarred Canvas!!

For sale is one early Civil War Battlefield pick up Confederate Cavalry Sabre grip. At one time there was an old label with this piece stating it was picked up at Antietam Battlefield but unfortunately it has been lost. The piece is very unique due to still having the original wire wrap and remnants of the tarred canvas grip not to mention the solid intact wood. The wire and canvas are very reminiscent of the first model Kenansville Cavalry Sabres manufactured at the Confederate States Armory. A very rare and cool Civil War relic. See pictures for details.
