U S 1885 Prairie Belt marked on the tongue F. B. & CO. (Frank Burgess & Co. Belt measures 41" total length and fits outside the pants waist 29 1/2 - 37". Brass buckle with iron center hook. Belt is 3" wide and holds 50 rounds of 45/70 Govt ammunition. Condition is very fine with some staining on cloth, leather remains pliable. High quality reproduction for reenactment

Vintage 1870's Indian Wars US Army National Guard Leather Ammo Pouch
This original 1870's pouch is in good condition for it's age. I researched this pouch and found other identical made by a company named McKeever. This pouch has no identification on it as such. Made for the US Army during the 1870's Indian Wars. All the straps and stitching are intact. The ammo shell webbing inside is in good condition. The NG pressed into the leather stands for National Guard. On the back of the pouch where the strap that goes over the top and fastens to the back is a name that is hard to make out. I can see the first letter which is a "W" and possibly the next letter is an "A". It may be a manufacturers name or Washington. The new owner will have to decide.
