Smal- Petit Point- Picture Of The Christmas Stocking Filled With Fruit, Flowers
This is a very small petit point stitching on a very small fabric. It’s hard to see actual items in the stocking because the threads are so together. It show a Christmas stocking filled with fruits, flowers and toys. The actual stitching is 1” by 1.25”. It is matted in white inside a bronze colored frame with a gold colored stone at the top. All of this is mounted on a burgundy velvet with gold braid. I would think this came from Europe. Very pretty and unique ornament. One of a kind. I’m 83 and having to downsize my wonderful collections. Thanks for looking. Overall dimensions are 2.5” x 4.5”.
Charming Handmade Quilt Dated 1892, Great With Antiques and Primitives
This is my kind of quilt. Put it on the back of a sofa or draped on an antique chair. It would be great with primitive antique furniture in original red paint. While I appreciate a more patterned quilt, like "Grandmother's Flower Garden", I find this type of quilt more interesting.
