Commercial reproduction of Emanuel Leutze’s iconic 1851 historical masterpiece entitled Washington crossing the Delaware depicting George Washington sneak attack at Trenton New Jersey in 1776. This was produced by Brown and Bigelow company of St. Paul Minnesota with a copyright of 1926. The printing technique is referred to as Tintogravure which is a printing process popular between 1910s and 1930s and often involved hand tinting. The frame is old however I doubt it is as old as the print. minor blemishes on the frame and a few minor imperfections in the print. Beautiful print yo display for celebrating America’s 250th!!
