Boards have shelf-wear present to the extremities (spine is chipped and worn). Previous owner's name present to the FFEP. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. The 114th Machine Gun Battalion was a United States Army unit that served during World War I (1917–1919) as part of the 30th Infantry Division ("Old Hickory" Division). Composed largely of National Guard troops, including Troops A, B, and C of the 1st Squadron Tennessee Cavalry, the battalion was assigned to the 60th Infantry Brigade and saw action on the Western Front in France and Belgium.
