Available for purchase, is this unissued, post-war BGS helmet, in the hard to find size of 68 with a big size 61 liner, and in the most rare factory-issued paint, which is tan. This is quite a unique BGS helmet, and there is a little bit of information, and misinformation, on the internet about this type. There is a story about the helmets being sold on a contract to the Egyptian army, hence the tan paint, but I’m unsure about that. In any case, it’s a real part of German helmet history and evolution, and looks fantastic on display. Thank you.

Complete with all straps and buckles which display light rust as shown - could easily be cleaned but that is up to its new owner. In my opinion this pack has been together in this tied configuration for a very long time. In excellent condition overall and very desirable. Ink stamped along the top shoulder straps with the maker’s code, the date, and the Waffenamt. This is a very difficult and complete example to find.
