German WWI M18 Transitional Helmet

German WWI Mi8 helmet used as a transitional helmet before the M35 helmet became the standard issue. Solid shell with no major dings or dents. Looks like several finishes were applied and there is the faint remanent of a SD on the left side. Inner shell has the same finishes which may have obscured the markings and supposedly the batch numbers are on the crown which I am not inclined to untie the drawstring to see, M31 liner has all fingers intact with original drawstring. Tip of one finger is size marked "57." The model 18 was the last of the original German WWI series of helmets and far fewer were produced than the M16/17 and were often reissued as transition helmets for the Wehrmacht. Domestic SH&I will be $22.00.

Very nice original WWI era large block camo imperial German helmet shell. Exterior paint is in great shape, unique pattern, nice bright colors. Interior is pretty rotted out, very rusty, no legible markings. Liner pins are rusted in place, chinstrap rings are also frozen.

German WWI M16 Helmet liner. This is a great example of the early leather helmet liner used on the M15 and M16 that were all leather. Thick leather ring with all fingers and a leather drawstring. Each tongue still has the cloth padding bags attached. Leather is dry but remarkably intact given it is over 110 years old. Nice maker name, date and "66" size marked. This one may or may not have ever been issued and these are extremely rare to come across these days. Domestic SH&I will be $20.00

I could find no markings on the Aviator glasses or the case itself, it may be there I just couldn't find it. Again I think each glass is double pane which is really cool. This is a used item so there are scratches, Nick's, dings, rust ,stains,holes in canvas, missing parts, and stuff like that, but that's all to be expected for as old as this item is, and again this is exactly the way I found it in this case.
