The operational markings seemingly relate to Canadian positions around VALOUR FARM etc which have been added in the margin, with hand drawn grid squares transposed from the adjoining map. Other markings around Passchendaele itself would make for interesting research.

It covers the Northern half of VIMY RIDGE (from VIMY to GIVENCHY), and just to the North West of LENS lies the infamous 'DOUBLE CRASSIER' slag heap which afforded the Germans such a great view over the Battlefield during the BATTLE of LOOS (LOOS appears just over the border of this map on the adjoining sheet to the North).
