British Pattern 1907 Bayonet Manufactured by Vickers LTD. To add to its rarity, this particular model was relegated to drill purposes, indicated by the DP stamp on the end of the handle. This is likely due to the blunting of the blade tip.

WW1 English Pattern 1907 Bayonet measuring 22" overall with a blade length of 17.25". Very good two toned gray/silver blade showing some light age patina, wear. Press-stud in excellent working press-stud. Ricasso is stamped with Sanderson Maker with a April 1917 date. along with other cartouches, cyphers, etc. The scabbard shows scattered surface loss/wear, the locket wiggles a bit, both the locket and chape are stamped with "RE". The Gothic cruciform brass hilt has crossguard ecussons with the VR cypher of Queen Victoria, triangular langets and trefoil finial guards. There are no maker’s marks. On the ricasso side is stamped E.R, possibly an inspection mark.
